Thank you James!
James Coolidge
stepped down from the role as Youth For Christ’s Executive Director last month. James sensed that God was leading him in a new direction to empower community leaders outside of YFC London. When joining YFC London as the Executive Director, James had committed to a 10-year term and has now served for over 11 years.

During his time with YFC London, James has provided leadership that focused on community outreach, youth development, and addressing basic needs within the community. He introduced new programs such as the indoor skate park, youth café, sports and recreation programs, life and employment skills training, and a variety of discipleship programs. He developed and maintained strong community partnerships with the City of London, community resource centres, and youth agencies. These programs and partnerships provided opportunities to resource and holistically support youth in our city to discover and reach their potential.

We at Christian Life in London join the many that would like to thank James Coolidge for his faithful and dedicated leadership for the organization, especially over the last several months as he worked together with the YFC team during this transitional time. He has proven himself to be a committed and inspirational leader with compassion for youth and a deep sense of justice for the vulnerable. We wish him well in the next chapter of his life.

Welcome Joel Timmerman
The Board of Youth for Christ has announced the appointment of Joel Timmerman as the new Executive Director of YFC London, beginning on December 5, 2022.

Joel comes to YFC with a wide breadth of experience. As a lawyer, Joel has spent the last 7 years managing a team of as many as 26 legal professionals in the for-profit sector. At the same time, he has been studying at Tyndale Seminary. He is on the verge of completing a master’s degree in theological studies with a growing sense of the call to follow the Lord into vocational ministry.

Joel is a devoted husband and father to two pre-teens and has been serving in numerous capacities within his home church. In these major facets of his life, Joel has been honing his skills in day-to-day operations, management, recruitment, and personnel decisions, and in faith-integrating, relational, practical, and Christ-centered ministry. Joel’s depth of experience positions him well for leading YFC London, and we are excited about the road ahead.

Welcome Joel as you start your new role as Executive Director. We are excited to see what God has in store for YFC in the years to come.
