Inspiring leaders with the person and values of Jesus

Established in September 1984, the Christian Embassy of Canada is a non-profit organization serving diplomats and their spouses, members of Parliament, senators, business executives and professionals of varied religious backgrounds. Their mission is to inspire diplomatic, political and business leaders, giving them an opportunity to discover Jesus, to experience His life-changing power and to inspire others similarly.

They offer different networking opportunities, such as luncheons, roundtables, business tours and individual meetings, that facilitate your meeting with leaders in government and business, as you seek to strengthen political and economic ties between your nation and Canada. In all that the Christian Embassy of Canada does, they seek to be a source of encouragement, inspiration and information for those desiring to learn more about the Christian faith.

One MP is quoted as saying, "The Christian Embassy provides me and other MPs with a needed personal focus and an outlet to serve. Their team helps me make connections with ambassadors as part of my government service. They also offer opportunities for me to grow in my relationship with God as I reach out to encourage leaders in Ottawa and overseas. I doubt the Christian Embassy is aware of the full extent of their positive impact."

"We look forward to serving you!” says Darlene McLean Executive Director, Christian Embassy of Canada, “We invite you to join in our initiatives and see the values of Jesus bring light to the professional, personal and spiritual facets of life. Interactions with leaders from Canada and around the globe will also sharpen you as a leader."

The following are just some of the many resources offered by Christian Embassy of Canada:

Global Charter of Conscience — The Global Charter of Conscience will bring religious tolerance back to the centre of public debate and it will help future generations engage freely in the public life of their nation. The Charter has been drafted by people of many faiths and none, politicians of many persuasions, academics and NGOs, all committed to a partnership on behalf of “freedom of thought, conscience and religion” for people of all faiths and none. The Charter calls for the cultivation of civility and the construction of a civil public square that maximizes freedom for everyone. It provides a vision and framework to help us discuss and resolve our present problems in a constructive, rights-honouring manner.

Jesus: Fact or Fiction? — Jesus: Fact or Fiction? is a platform for exploring spiritual questions, or building on the foundation of your faith. Hear from experts in history, philosophy, theology and science as they address more than 50 of life’s toughest questions about Jesus, God and the Bible. You can also hear compelling life stories from people whose lives have been changed by Jesus.

Personal Peacemaking — Do you ever wish you were consistently able to handle conflict in a way that pleases God? This information is designed to help you learn, apply and practice biblical peacemaking skills that can be applied in family, church and work conflicts. It will also prepare you to resolve differences with those of other religious beliefs and to use peacemaking as a witness for Christ.

The Word one to one — Many are limited in their knowledge of the Bible. The Word One to One is a resource that helps you walk through John’s Gospel with friends. As you turn over the pages with them they’ll see what the Bible says about who Jesus is and what He came to do and how that affects our life. With the help of thirty-eight studies, you will eventually have studied the entire book of John’s Gospel. Download the Word one to one study.

Universal Declaration of Human Rights — Renowned statesman, Dr. Charles Malik, rapporteur for the commission charged with crafting this declaration, expressed: “The needs of the world are much deeper than political freedom and security, much deeper than social injustice and economic development, much deeper than democracy and progress. The deeper needs of the world belong to the sphere of the mind, the heart and the spirit, a sphere to be penetrated with the light and grace of Jesus Christ.”
