Is it possible that behind what is taking place in America and the world lies a mystery that goes back to the gods of the ancient world…and that they now have returned?

The Return of the Gods is the most explosive book Jonathan Cahn has ever written. It is so explosive and so revealing that no description here could do it justice. Jonathan Cahn is known for revealing the stunning mysteries, many from ancient times, that lie behind and are playing out in the events of our times. But with The Return of the Gods , Cahn takes this to an entirely new level and dimension.

The Return of the Gods , Cahn takes the reader on a journey from an ancient parable, the ancient inscriptions in Sumer, Assyria, and Babylonia that become the puzzle pieces behind what is taking place in our world to this day, specifically in America. The mystery involves the gods. Who are they? What are they? And is it possible that these beings, whose origins are from ancient times, are the unseen catalysts of modern culture?

Is it possible that these gods lie behind the most pivotal events, forces, and movements taking place in our nation and around the world at this very moment? Are the gods at this very moment transforming our culture, our children, our lives, and America itself?

Could this mystery have even determined the exact days on which Supreme Court decisions had to be handed down?

What is the Dark Trinity?

Is it possible that what we in the modern world take as nothing more than ancient mythology could actually possess a reality beyond our fathoming?

Who is the Possessor? The Enchanter? The Destroyer? And the Sorceress?

Could a sign that has appeared all over America and the world be linked to the gods of Mesopotamia? And if so, what does it actually mean?

Could the gods have returned to New York City and an ancient mythology played out on the streets in real time?

Is it possible that the gods lie behind everything from what appears on our computer monitors, our televisions and movie screens; to the lessons given in our classrooms; to the breakdown of the family; to wokism; to the occult; to our addictions; to the Supreme Court; to cancel culture; to children’s cartoons; to every force and factor that has transformed the parameters of gender; to that which appears in our stores, on our T-shirts, and on our coffee mugs—to that which is, at this very moment, transforming America and much of the world? Is it possible that behind all these things are ancient mysteries that go back to the Middle East and ancient Mesopotamia? This and so much more, most of which we can’t even reveal in this description, will be uncovered.

Is it possible that the gods are even affecting your life right now? How can you recognize it? And what can you do about it?

The Return of the Gods is not only one of the most explosive books you’ll ever read but also one of the most profound. It will reveal the most stunning secrets and truths behind what is happening before your eyes in America and the nations. You will see things, even in your world, in a whole new light. With such chapters as “The House of Spirits,” “The Avatar,” “The Masters,” “The Deep Magic,” and “The Day of the Goddess,” The Return of the Gods will take readers on a fascinating, unforgettable, and mind-blowing journey that will leave them stunned and with the ability to see the world as they never have before.

Be prepared to be blown away as you open up Jonathan Cahn’s most explosive book ever, The Return of the Gods!

Don Upham rated The Return of the Gods a 4 out of 5 STARS
I find Jonathan's writing style somewhat repetitive, making the same statements several times throughout the book. But I can overlook that to a degree due to the in-depth research and quotes to back up his primary thesis.

I am in full agreement that the demonic realm is back with a vengeance and re-entering the houses that had been swept clean, however, I look at events that begin occurring as early as 700 a.d. as responsible for releasing increasing evil in the physical world, not just the events and judicial rulings of the early 1960s. Then specifically the actions of Jack Parsons and L. Ron Hubbard in carrying out a two-month long ritual in 1946 to invoke the birth of the Moon Child, the physical manifestation of the goddess Babalon, Ishtar. Earlier than 46, there was also D.W. Griffith's enthroning of Ishtar in Hollywood in the making of his 4-hour movie "Intolerance", and the Idol that remained on that set for 20 years.

I also found myself on every page and at the end of every chapter wanting to know what the suggested remedy Jonathan would bring forth and somewhat disappointed that only one chapter moved that direction and only provided a simple invitation to salvation in Christ.

If you would like to read a book that is more focused on action to overcome the enemy, not just the problem, I would suggest reading alongside Rabbi Cahn's book, "In Favor of the Saints: Living, Standing, and Taking Possession of the Kingdom in this Evil Day" by Don Upham.

On the positive side, I think this book should be mandatory reading for all Local and state legislators, school board members, school administrators, and teachers. Perhaps at least the Christians among them would come to understand " For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."

Finally what has been going on is made clear

Cahn walks the reader through the building moral and social take over of my country (USA) and the world.

There has been a growing uneasy feeling in me as what before was called “evil” began to be proclaimed as “good”, and that which had always been called “good” was now being called “evil”.

The Who, what, where, when and why behind this horrifying shift from good to evil is laid out in Cahn’s book in a flow that is both dramatic and easy to follow.

Finally understanding who is spearheading this transformation, and why, is critical: it’s not human personalities in charge.

One astonishing area of the book explains the Stonewall riot (of which I knew only general facts). No human could possibly schedule or trigger so many details that announces who was in charge of that situation, a kick off if you will, to literally changing America to calling evil good and demanding all must agree to that.

I HIGHLY recommend this book.

Once again Jonathan Cahn links modern day unrest and evil behavior to ancient prophecies. An outstanding book clarifying what is going on and why using Scripture and pagan history. His insight is astounding and his knowledge of the Word of God is incomparable. This book is a must read and a perfect addition to his catalog of works. While he does not predict the future, he will help you learn how we got to where we are. What you do with the information is up to you, but time grows shorter each day and the madness increases almost hourly. Turn to God before time runs out.

James Love rated The Return of the Gods a 5 out of 5 STARS
The darkness will end, but the light will be forever. And so as it is written, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, for greater, much greater, is He who is in you than he who is in the world.

I was a little skeptical when I saw this book advertised but I decided to give it a shot and I found it worth the risk. The hope that the ending gives to Jews and Christians is the best news I could ever want to hear. Much of the scholarly references are the kind taught in ecclesiastical, rabbinical, and other faith-based schools. The only thing missing were some Carl Gustav Jung quotes on the Anima and Animus, the collective consciousness and collective unconscious, and Synchronicity.

It's fascinating how seriously movies and books like The Amityville Horror, The Exorcist, and The Omen are taken more seriously than the Bible. At least the Bible explains God's love and forgiveness including his Son's sacrifice on the cross for our sins with an ALL IS FORGOTTEN attitude on our Creator's part.

It's also interesting that many people are willing to follow a false god like Ibram X. Kendi or Robin DiAngelo deriding people for some perceived slight and stating that only they can provide forgiveness but it costs lots of money, giving your property to others, etc. and then you can still be accused of the same thing after being forgiven.

The book is written in the style reminiscent of C. G. Jung, Joseph Campbell, and Erich von Däniken with a little touch of a horror novel by Robert R. McCammon or an H. P. Lovecraft short story. It makes a very good bookend to see how Lovecraft came up with much of his Cthulu Mythos and the influence of the Bible on popular culture all to often in a detrimental or confusing way.

The repetitive parts in the book are like a college professor reminding his students of the most important things to remember from the current class lecture and the previous lectures. I can still see an Exercise Physiology professor whose class I attended taking the first five to ten minutes asking questions in such a way that we recited the top important points of day one through day fifteen. His rationale was that the information was still being used as building blocks for the next session and he wanted to make sure that we didn't forget anything.

Justin Matott rated The Return of the Gods a 4 out of 5 STARS
This book was recommended to my by a family member who really loved it. It was a pretty fast read and compelling. The ancient gods, especially the females seem to be very active in American politics. Some of the date coincidences were very compelling and added a dimension of mystery I hadn't considered before. All in all the book made me want to search out some of Jonathan Cahn's other titles. Overall, a very interesting read. As a believer in Jesus, I found the lower case gods to be basically henchmen for the enemy. One lower case diety is basically a maker of confusion and sexual perversity. The thesis is that her influence long ago determined human nature's downfall and apparently she is still at it today. I think this would be compelling to believers and non believers. It seemed to me that Mr. Cahn put a lot of thought and work into creating this book. The epilogue was a bit chilling, in the coincidence of the dates lining up with the Supreme Court reversing Roe v Wade. I would recommend this book to the spiritually curious reader.

Mary Buker rated The Return of the Gods a 5 out of 5 STARS
As with Jonathan Chan's other books, it did not disappoint. The research and comparison of ancient and modern events is amazing. Many of us have been questioning why and how the insanity of the ideals, lack of morals and unfettered anger and aggressiveness of the modern world could have taken over. This book sheds light into all the dark corners. It is a book full of scary truths, and yet it ends with the light and hope of the one true God. Thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it to anyone who, like I, has been wondering, " why? ".

Michael Ann Watson rated The Return of the Gods a 5 out of 5 STARS
As with Jonathan Cahn other books, he gives you a lot to think about. Some times it is hard for me to read in that you cannot read them like a nice fiction story--you have to think! He explains what America is going to change from a Christian nation into a non-Christian nation. You see it everyday, everywhere you go, it is not respected to be a Christian and are wrong to be one. It has changed so much since I was in school where I was respected to be a Christian not my grandchildren face so much evil coming at them from everywhere. Cahn said it all in the last couple of chapters, America needs revival now and Christians need to stand up for God. Jesus is all loving and gives peace. The world now wants only destruction and everything that is anti-Jesus. I had to stop and pray for America while reading for our country. I think everyone should read this book.
